It's a remarkably stylistic project from a first-time filmmaker. Is Teen Spirit riddled with cliches and entirely predictable? Absolutely. However, Teen Spirit transcends the “inspirational rise to stardom” hallmarks thanks to the phenomenal star performance from Elle Fanning. The determination, anxiety, and confusion that a young girl feels when she is thrust in front of the spotlight are evident thanks to Fanning’s authenticity.- Liam Gaughan
